ABOUT

Creative Director / Director / Surfer (learning for 35 years) / AT Hiker (48 miles down 2,152 to go)

I discovered advertising as a graphic design major at The School of Visual Arts, in NYC and fell in love immediately. I graduated with a degree in both Advertising and Graphic Design. Since then, I've been building brands like IBM, AT&T Wireless, Virgin Atlantic Airways, JetBlue, AMEX, USA Networks, Cablevision (Optimum) and Mike’s Hard Lemonade –  at agencies like Ogilvy, The Concept Farm, The AdStore, and Hill Holliday.

Most recently, I moved back to my hometown, Virginia Beach, to helm the creative department of a local agency and to fall in love with surfing again. The above/right picture was taken during a Wounded Warrior surf camp where I volunteer every year.

My creative journey started as a copywriter, which transitioned to the art side after two years. As a creative director, I've also been fortunate to hone my skills as a video director. Directing commercials that you and your partner ideated simply made complete sense and quickly became an addiction.

My most recent journey takes me to the Appalachian Trail, where I'm on a mission to hike the Virginia portion of the AT – one weekend at a time.

This is just a picture my DP took, that I love (and my wife hates.) It expresses my love/hate of being on the lens end of the camera. But enough about me let's see some work.
